Chan`s weekend

Saturday 10 am,Me and my wife deciced to explore sampeng lane which is located in china town just a few minutes away from MBK.When you come to chinatown you will know straight away that this is chinatown.Do you know why?because you will see most signs written in chinese and the colours red and white.

This is famous sampeng lane where you can buy cheap things almost everythings is there. It usually has 12 pieces in a packet or more than that.

From sampeng lane we decided to go to the bangkok international motor show at bangna,Knowing the traffic in bangkok we take one of the fastest and convenience transport BTS skytrains from National Stadium station to On Nut station.

My Walking View

This is one of the biggest soi (its simpang in our language) in the Sukhumvit area. It's a nice residential area. There are a number of cafes and Japanese or Korean Restaurants in Thonglo. And a rather nice hang out place is J Avenue where there are also some small small shops, a supermarket as well as a bowling&karaoke place.

There are four starbucks in this Soi alone. And there's also a place Kopitiam.. which is unfortunately not halal.. but I hear they make a mean teh tarik.

I passed this on my way to Ekammai. KFC here is halal by the way..

Blog's Debut

Being far from our families, I decided to create this blogsite as a way to keep them posted on our daily (ok may be not daily) activities in this country we (temporarily) call home. But perhaps more importantly.. share with them how our lovely daughter (pictured above) is growing up..

One thing that the wife and I learnt is that.. finding a place to stay is relatively easy.. but making it truly home'y is not so.

I hope to be able to share our experiences.. and perhaps also try to give information for those hoping to stay (for long or for holiday) in the City of Angels.

Till then.. Sawadeekap!
